Smells like…victory.

So, the page is finally back up and we have done a few more things. We did the Assembly of Iron aka Iron Council hardmode, and last lockout also completed the hardmode on General Vezax aptly named I Love the Smell of Saronite in the Morning. We didn’t have helicopters, but there were definitely some flying involved. However there were no fat guy in a cave at the end.

This lockout we also had a lucky paladin getting the legendary Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. Grats to Lurppa for getting more bubbles.

Heartbreakers.

After cancelling wednesdays raid because of the incredible crapness that is the Stormscale server, we quickly did the Flame Leviathan hard mode and got to work on the hard mode of XT-002 Deconstructor. It’s a fight that is pretty finely tuned between a tight enrage timer and heavy raid damage, and it really felt good to kill it after 15 or so tries. The kill itself wasn’t exactly perfect, but certainly good enough.

Illuminating the darkness.

A slightly horrible raidweek came to an end with a new achievement. We defeated Yogg-Saron with only three keepers. The one that did not get to join was Mr. Roboto himself, Mimiron. After three fairly decent tries we got him down on the fourth, which is something we are pleased with.

Flame OFF!

After a day of trials and lots and lots of errors, we came back to Flame Leviathan with all 4 towers up. After not having much problems at all with 3 towers, we sort of thought this wouldn’t be much harder. But 50% more HP turned out to be quite a lot in what is basically a fight of attrition, and led to things like this. But after a few more tries, we finally did it.

Knocking out Steelbreakers lights.

Since the server were it’s usual poopy self, we did some 10 man hard modes this weekend. There is a healthy difficulty difference between the 10 man and the 25 man hardmodes, that’s for sure. But a lot of fun was had.
