Raid Funkadelic.

Even though it’s not September, we decided to try out the achievement Earth, Wind & Fire in 10 man. Expecting a somewhat funky fight, it was not very hard even with an alt tank and some offspec healers. After some papertank deaths, we got the achievement and could celebrate and dance into a boogie wonderland.

It was a party like no other. Someone brought ninjas.

Alt-tastic!

Armed with extreme patience, Grayhorn managed to finish the legendary Val’anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings yesterday. Having run alt raids in Ulduar for what seems an eternity, putting up with all kinds of less than stellar performances by random pug members, the reward could finally be claimed from the gaping maw of Yogg-Saron.

Congratulations to what is most likely Stormscales only alt with this hammer.

A tribute to mad skill.

After a mishap on an earlier boss, we started this lockout’s Anub’arak tries with 49 attempts left. After two false starts, we got him down well within the achievement “A tribute to mad skill“.

Loot:
Cudgel of the Damned
Lurid Manifestation
Cuirass of Flowing Elements
Breeches of the Deepening Void

In other news, after Blizzard opened up for race changes, many in the guild have been difficult to recognize. There seems to have been an influx of trolls and orcs lately, and some eye watering results as is the abomination that are those two races.  Like this:

Looks like it has already been killed with fire.

Call of the Grand Crusade

Proper crusaders now, but no special chests. With 12 attempts left we managed to kill Anub’arak on heroic mode.

We got Protector and Vanquisher regalia that went to Faisst and Cardiz.

Bindings of the Ashen Saint
Armbands of Dark Determination
Gauntlets of Bitter Reprisal

Our gnome attempt did not work that well… maybe we had too few?

Our gnome strategy did not work

Brood Breed Breathe deeply.

So the broodmother has returned to Azeroth in a new and updated form, still breeding like crazy but not breathing as much. We swung by her lair (it’s just a cave really, hardly any gold there at all), and made quick work of her and most of her eggs. We knew Onyxia her self would be a fairly easy boss, but had some hope that the achievements would be slightly harder. Not so much as it turned out.
