Fight it with fire.

Glory is not only one of the better looking villains in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but also a meta achievement in Ulduar. Our 10 man group finished off this achievement yesterday following the slew of nerfs to Mimiron’s hard mode Firefighter. The fact that they one-shotted the hard mode might suggest the nerfs were a little heavy handed. This opens up the path for us to fight the last boss in the zone, Algalon.

Here is some of the happy crew on their brand new Rusted Proto-Drakes:

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Summer. Summer wh…oh.

Summer is here close (depending a bit on how far north you live), and it’s starting to show on the sign-ups. We had plans on practicing the hard mode on Freya, or Fr√łya as we Norwegians call her, but settled for the semi hard mode and a day off instead.  We had tried this a bit really early on, but sort of hit a brick wall, so imagine our surprise when we came back and did it in 3 tries. Good times. To balance things out we played horribly for the rest of the night.

Freya semi hard...yeah, I know that sounds kinky.

Smells like…victory.

So, the page is finally back up and we have done a few more things. We did the Assembly of Iron aka Iron Council hardmode, and last lockout also completed the hardmode on General Vezax aptly named I Love the Smell of Saronite in the Morning. We didn’t have helicopters, but there were definitely some flying involved. However there were no fat guy in a cave at the end.

This lockout we also had a lucky paladin getting the legendary Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. Grats to Lurppa for getting more bubbles.

Legen...wait for it...dary!

After cancelling wednesdays raid because of the incredible crapness that is the Stormscale server, we quickly did the Flame Leviathan hard mode and got to work on the hard mode of XT-002 Deconstructor. It’s a fight that is pretty finely tuned between a tight enrage timer and heavy raid damage, and it really felt good to kill it after 15 or so tries. The kill itself wasn’t exactly perfect, but certainly good enough.
