First Shadowmourne

Congratulations to Sunblazer who after several lockouts in Icecrown Citadel completed the quest to get Shadowmourne on Sunday.

Later in the evening we went and killed Yogg-Saron. Since there was no keepers to help us Mimiron’s head dropped. Doug was the lucky roller and despite several lucrative offers did not want to give or sell head.

Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10)

A group of nam raiders completed all the quests of Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10) and received their new Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher.

Faisst most kindly agreed to pose for the camera.

Earlier in the evening we completed Heroic: The Crimson Hall (25)

A tribute to Insanity.

After many weeks of poor play and lack of certain players we finally had a good raid again. A horrible start on Beasts and Jaraxxus had us doubting how well it was going to go, but at the end of the day we killed Anub’Arak with 50 trys left for the achievement A Tribute to Insanity. Good job to everyone!

Grats to Silverheart who got Aethas’ Intensity.

Raid Funkadelic.

Even though it’s not september, we decided to try out the achievement Earth, Wind & Fire in 10 man. Expecting a somewhat funky fight, it was not very hard even with an alt tank and some offspec healers. After some papertank deaths, we got the achievement and could celebrate and dance into a boogie wonderland.

It was a party like no other. Someone brought ninjas.

A tribute to mad skill.

After a mishap on an earlier boss, we started this weeks Anub’arak tries with 49 attempts left. After two false starts, we got him down well within the achievement “A tribute to mad skill“.

In other news, after Blizzard opened up for race changes, many in the guild have been difficult to recognize. There seems to have been an influx of trolls and orcs lately, and some eye watering results as is the abomination that are those two races.  Like this:

Looks like it has already been killed with fire.

Brood Breed Breathe deeply.

So the broodmother has returned to Azeroth  in a new and updated form, still breeding like crazy but not breathing as much. We swung by her lair (it’s just a cave really, hardly any gold there at all), and made quick work of her and most of her eggs. We knew Onyxia her self would be a fairly easy boss, but had some hope that the achievements would be slightly harder. Not so much as it turned out.

First world event mount in nam

Cardiz got the first mount in nam completing his long, strange trip late on Saturday.

After the picture was taken, Cardiz did not get drunk and fall 65 yards. Remember kids, don’t drink and fly!

Catching up

After some very slow summer weeks with some very relaxed Ulduar runs, we caught up two-three weeks ago with some overdue achievements like Firefighter. Two lockouts ago we also managed Observed 10 man.

Into the room of Mimiron, ran the twenty five.

Oh, and I got a pony.

Fight it with fire.

Glory is not only one of the better looking villains in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but also a meta achievement in Ulduar. Our 10 man group finished of this achievement yesterday following the slew of nerfs to Mimirons hard mode Firefighter. The fact that they one-shotted the hard mode might suggest the nerfs were a little heavy handed. This opens up the path for us to fight the last boss in the zone, Algalon the Observer.

Here is some of the happy crew on their brand new Rusted Proto-Drakes:

The glory part of the achievement refers to being able to show off in Dalaran, as seen in this picture.

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Summer. Summer wh…oh.

Summer is here close (depending a bit on how far north you live), and it’s starting to show on the sign-ups. We had plans on practicing the hard mode on Freya, or Frøya as we Norwegians  call her, but settled for the semi hard mode and a day off instead.  We had tried this a bit really early on, but sort of hit a brick wall, so imagine our surprise when we came back and did it in 3 tries. Good times. To balance things out we played horribly for the rest of the night.

Freya semi hard...yeah, I know that sounds kinky.
